Former Quarterback Puts Texas House on Market

The Texas real estate market has weathered the recession and housing implosion better than most. Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman is selling his home for only $2,282 per square foot. In case you don't want to do the math, that equates to $24 million dollars. According to local media sources, Aikman and his wife are splitting and the home went on the market almost immediately.

The home is the single most expensive residential listing on the market in Dallas. And it may be the most expensive home on the market in Texas. Aikman's home is priced $8 million dollars higher than the next most expensive home for sale in the area.

Aikman and his wife are selling the home and plan to divorce after 10 years of marriage.
The proceeds will go toward the financial settlement when his marital union is legally dissolved.

This may be a fine piece of property, but selling this high priced property may be a bigger challenge for Aikman than avoiding a defensive lineman.
